PROTEST THIS SUNDAY

If you’re not angry, too, you’re not paying attention. 

ICE murdered a 37-year-old woman in Minneapolis. She was nonviolent, she was not a threat. She was a mother who had just dropped off her 6-year-old at school.

Trump ordered the kidnapping of a foreign president, and is threatening to invade Greenland. He has cut us off from foreign allies, he has hurt the Venezuelan people with his military interventions, and he is dragging the US closer to war.

Step out in Williamsport in support of Minneapolis, Venezuela, Portland, and the many other places near and far ravaged by ICE or the war machine. Gather peacefully to express your grief and your rage at the corner of 3rd and Market St right by downtown THIS SUNDAY, January 11, at 12 noon.

Where have we been for the past month?

In December the Williamsport 50501 team took a break to reset, rejoice at our successes, and reflect on a busy year. We had 8 events in 2025 - keeping in mind the inception of Williamsport 50501 wasn’t until late February. That’s an event once every 5-6 weeks. Not including our 9 public meetings and the Fight Back Friday protests with Action Together NEPA.

While on our break, we also set out goals and initiatives for 2026. We were going to start back up in late January… but the time to act is NOW!
