Volunteer

We need you! Yes, you! You have skills and knowledge that we or others in our community need!

We can use you directly in support of the organization’s needs, or connect you with someone in the community who needs what you have to offer.

Here are just some of the kinds of volunteers we currently need:

• Social media message crafters
   We need people who love to create text, images, and video to be shared on all social media platforms about our efforts and community!
• Designers and artists
  We need graphics and layouts for our upcoming website, event banners, flyers, newsletters, social media posts, and other things we haven’t even thought of yet.
• Photographers and videographers
  Capturing the goings on at our events, but also the sights and sounds that make Williamsport the city and community we love.
• Drivers
  Help get people to and from things. Our evens, but also doctor appointments, grocery store, pharmacy, kids sports events, courts, and polling places on election days.
• Craftsmen
  Help us build local “share shacks” around our community. For storing and sharing tools, food, books, household supplies, crafts, and anything else people might have extras of that others can use. Think of food pantries or the Little Free Libraries™ that pop up everywhere, but more of them of all types.
• Hosts
  We need home and business owners willing to provide the space in their buildings or property for our community “Share shacks”.
• Letter or post card writers
  Get our message out to local officials or others who may not yet be involved in the community.
• Attenders
  Show up at public events and meetings for local government and civic organizations to know what’s going on and have your voice heard.
  Show up at our Williamsport 50501 events.
• Event Coordinators
  Put together regular, non-protest events to engage and educate the community. Whether it’s putting on a movie night, a coffee hour, a write-in rally, or a sign-making event, or something else. This role would work with other organizers.
